Insecta is the brainchild of two friends who had the crazy idea of transforming vintage clothing into shoes.
The first pair was created and sold quickly, and in January 2014 Insecta Shoes was born.
"We want to demystify the idea that an environmentally friendly product cannot be beautiful. Ecosexy is the term we coined to describe the union of ethics and aesthetics. We make products with visual, social and environmental impact".

As we kept growing, more sustainable and ambitious solutions became apparent.
Today, we use materials such as recycled plastic bottles, recycled cotton, recycled rubber, upcycled vintage clothing, deadstock fabrics and production waste that would be thrown away to create brand new shoes.

Insecta’s mission is to rethink the economy, seeking consumer alternatives and extending the life of what already exists.
